Adult Guy Staring at Me in School…

THIS IS MY PROBLEM.
This school cop, who by the way is like 2 feet taller than me and he is young and intimidating is always staring at me. no joke. i have caught him but since i don’t like staring back at people i turn away really easily. once me and my sister (who works in the school) were sitting in one of the benches outside and the cop guy comes in his police car and parks it right in front of us. have no idea why he did that but he stayed in the car for like a few minutes and then went inside the school building. Like in the lunch line (there is 2 lunch lines) if I go on 1 line he moves to that line when he sees me and when I go on the other line he moves to that one. When my friends and I sit down on a table he moves all the way from one side of the cafeteria to the other. I have noticed. Even outside when he is "patrolling" the area in a golf cart, i see catch him looking at me.
I have not told my sister about this. I bet she won’t believe me. any suggestions?
By the way, if this helps.. I’m in Athletics. I’m a girl of course. And I am in High School. I’m just asking for ways to make this guy understand that I don’t like him, I never will and that he better stop it! I have tried ignoring it but I just can’t. I feel uncomfortable and I don’t know if its my imagination or what but… I don’t know how to explain this… I need advice.

• He sounds really creepy to me. An adult should not be staring at a child like that. I would report him to your principal and let him or her know that you are very uncomfortable with this.

• Go to the principle and explain your situation and that he makes you feel uncomfortable. He will talk to whoever is the cop’s supervisor is and the cop will either be warned or removed. If he continues making you uncomfortable after you’ve spoken to the principle, go back. You shouldn’t have to feel this way at school.

Girl advice: Is she into me

I met this girl online. She emailed me and we soon then started "talking" through text messaging. We then moved it to AIM. I said I defintely felt a connection, she said the same. Anyway we plan to meet up (she’s working two jobs and had her shift covered so she could go out with me) and last night we meet for mini golf. She calls me right before and asks where I am. Next thing I know she is walking through the doors on her phone (with me) and she smiles and we hug. All throughout the game we are standing close to each other, she is playing around, like tapping her club on mine, trying to make me mess up, talking a lot, etc. Oh and she was talking during one hole and said how when she said my profile she thought "This guy is really cute…I’ll message him." When I was about to putt she bumps her thigh on mine. Lots of physical contact. Anyway we make a bet (she chooses what the bet is) that the loser buys the winner coffee. Well I won. So she still suggested we go to the mall for coffee (she works at Starbucks). We get there and she introduces me to your boss and coworkers as her "date." We sit and drink coffee, talk (for 40 minutes), and then we get up and go outside to watch a youtube video on her phone. So minutes later we depart. She knows I took the light rail/public transit there so she offers to give me a ride. I decline, say I’m meeting my friend across the street. We hug and I say we should see a movie soon. She replies "Yeah I know totally" and that "we’ll figure it out later."

I thought she was into me and all that. But she hasn’t texted me all day. I texted her around 2:30p to say "everyone asked my friend and I why we went blond." She said she liked the blond buzz and was feeling it twice. Well she still hasn’t replied.

What do you think? Am I worrying too much?

She does work two jobs and she has taken a while to text me back before we met too. Give me your advice, girls! Do you think she’s into me…she’s just busy working? Or is she ignoring me?

Why don’t you try calling her tomorrow, and asking if she’s free this weekend? See how she reacts to that…. if she plays it kinda cool, then just leave the ball in her court and let her call you when she’s free.

Thats a total creeper problem. you need to report this or just speak directly to him and tell him to stop, if he doesn’t then, it could turn into something much more serious. Talk to his superior officer, teacher, or the principle. Hope i helped

When I catch someone staring at me, I stare them down.

I will just stare back, right in the eyes.

Eventually they look away out of awkwardness. They dont do it again after that.

Also, if he’s an adult and you’re a minor, you need to report him. Even if you are 18 you should still report him, he’s abusing his authority.

Wow this is a different situation since u’re still a kd and he’s an adult. This could become relatively dangerous so stay safe! Idk what to tell u but to just ignore him. Never look at him and maybe his interest will go away. If this was a regular highschool boy, I would give him a lil dirty look to show that I’m not interested. But this might not work with an adult. Be safe! Never be alone!

If the officer is exhibiting this kind of behavior toward high school girls in the open, there’s no telling what’s going on in his mind. There’s no excuse for that kind of behavior, especially from someone behind a badge. If he can’t control his behavior, he could be more of a security liability than an asset.

Report the behavior directly to the principal, he/she should know who to talk to administratively.

You may not be the only one he does that to. Help the next girl out and report him. Even if he doesn’t get disciplined this time, it should get the point across and establish a pattern of behavior for his eventual administrative removal (should it be necessary).

EDIT: There are some comments about staring back, confronting him, ignoring him or dealing with him personally. I suggest you get someone in the administration involved as soon as possible rather than to engage him personally. Even negative attention is still attention… and it will make you stand out more. Ignoring it will allow the situation to get worse.

Getting an anonymous complaint will make him wonder who reported or even caught him. If you try to confront him first, he’ll have an indicator as to who did it. The situation could develop a number of ways from there, but him not knowing who did it would definitely be better.

The question before read "guy" but since I’m dealing with an "adult" I rephrased the Question.

The most effective way would be to confront him. If you are one hundred percent sure and you tell him, he will stop. If that doesn’t work, talk to the school counselor or principal and tell them so that they can do something about the situation.

He kind of sounds like a freak… if you confront him… make sure there are people around or at least close by… I personally would go to the counselor first because I hate confrontation.

I disagree with confronting personally. If all were equal between the two parties involved, then maybe. But, considering he has a badge and is an intimidating adult, it opens the door to getting the situation more developed.

Tell your parents, tell the principal, keep it anonymous. Give them a chance to observe his behavior when he doesn’t know they’re watching. Otherwise, he’ll learn to hide his behavior.

RESPONSE: Feelings or behavior? The behavior I’m talking about is watching/following females around campus. It could be harmless, it might not be. At any rate, it’s unprofessional and exactly the kind of behavioral characteristics schools try to screen against in hiring.

If he knows his behavior might be watched, he’ll likely be more discrete. (i.e., not stare as long, through sunglasses, or from the corner of his eye) Then, reporting him might not do as much, because, what he’s doing might not be so obvious to someone investigating your initial report.

All I’m saying is you should give the administration a chance to observe what he’s doing before you tip him off. After they have their chance to correct the behavior, go to plan B, which is to confront with some assertive adults who can back you up. Otherwise, you run the risk of it being a he said, she said situation. Best of luck to you.

You need to be reporting this, exactly as you told everyone on here, to your teachers, guidance counselor and school principal.

It sounds like this guy (adult) has a bit of a crush on you, it could be harmless, but he should not be making any student uncomfortable, for any reason.

Please report this; you are in school to learn, not to be intimidated and made to feel uncomfortable by this guy.

Someone made you a bet they thought for sure you could never win and you can, do you take their money

A family friend of ours is obsessed with M&M’s. They have a game room in the basement full of M&M stuff. He even has an M&M tattoo! Anyways, I asked him today if there’s something he doesn’t have. There’s literally thousands of memorabilia like store candy displays, candles, golf balls, etc. He said the one thing he doesn’t have is a brown M&M plush doll. He’s e-mailed the company, looked all over the place and just can’t find one. He said, "If someone gives me a brown M&M, I’ll give them $100."

So of course I get home and look on E-Bay and there one is! A 5" brown M&M plush for $14.99. It’s literally the ONLY one I could find online anywhere. I bought it and want to give it to him but I’m not sure if I want to accept his money for it. Anyone else would snatch it in a second but that’s alot of money for something I paid $15 for.

What would you do?

In a case like that, I would give it to him and would not accept the money, if he wanted to pay for the doll that would be fine, but I wouldnt accept the rest, its too much and it seems like a “I would kill for a ___” comment, like they didnt really mean it and were just expressing how much they want it.

I would probably give it to him and not mention the bet at all unless he brings it up. Then I would say ‘no thank you, it’s really not necessary’ to the money. However, if he offers to take you for lunch (or something similar) to say thank you, after you decline the money, I would agree to that.

What games do you play, when playing golf with your weekend golf partners

I have been playing golf for 30+ years and getting tired of the same games while playing with my weekend golf buddies. We always try to find some game to play to make bets on but after 15,20 times of playing that game, the group starts looking for something new. I have been on the internet and printed out most everything I could find, most of which we already play. MY QUESTION to this group is this: What games do you and your buddies play and how does it work? You will need to be a little detailed so that I can print them out and put this in the bag for consideration.

These would be game most golfers never heard of because we have already played all the normal games. Different forms of the Stableford system, Wolf, Rotating Scrambles, First on – First in, etc. We have played all these.

Right now our groups consist of golfers who score from 75 to 125, so finding something that is fair to all it twice as hard. Thanks.

We always play a team “pops” game where everyone on a team (a twosome out of a foursome) gets a pop when one player gets a pop. You get pops for birdies, sandy pars, puts longer than a pole length, on a par 5 in two, greenies, etc. It’s important to use a handicap to even things out. Decide the value for a pop and add them up at the end of the round.
The fun is that every three holes, we toss up balls to decide new teams.
